Application and Use:

Shake vigorously before use.

Directions for Hose-end Sprayer:

1 Shake first. Before attaching the hose-end sprayer shake the contents vigorously. For best results turn the bottle upside down with the cap on and shake well. Turn right side up and shake again. Repeat this procedure 3 to 4 times. The product naturally separates with the lime resting on the bottom of the bottle, and by shaking it upside down it allows the material to dislodge from the bottom.

2 Hose-end sprayer: Attach the dip tube to the hose-end sprayer. Thread the hose-end sprayer to the mouth of the bottle, ensuring it is secured. Attach the garden hose to the hose-end sprayer, and open water tap. The dilution rate on hose-end sprayer is already pre-set. The toggle on top of the sprayer is used to turn sprayer on or off. A red lever may be present on the left side of the sprayer. Turn the red lever down so it is horizontal to allow the product to be siphoned up the dip tube. (If it is pointing up, only water will be sprayed out.)

3 Point down: While spraying, the product dispenses best when the bottle is held pointed slightly down, at approximately a 45-degree angle. The 38.8 oz bottle will dispense relatively quickly in about 15 minutes. The larger 77.6 oz bottle may take up half an hour.

4 Remaining product at bottom: There may be some material left at the bottom of the bottle that does not spray out. The reason for this is that the dip tube is about a half inch higher than the bottom of the bottle hence some product tends to remain. To help spray out completely make sure that the bottle is pointed down, and shake the bottle every so often. If it still does not spray out, check the dip tube, and ensure it is not clogged. If it is, remove the dip tube, rinse it out and re-attach. You may also add water (one or two cups) to the remaining lime in the bottle to help it to spray out quicker.

Using a Sprayer with Dial: First shake the bottle vigorously and ensure that the contents are fully mixed. If unsure, cut open the bottle to confirm. Fill the Sprayer with product and spray at 3 oz per gallon setting. Adjust higher or lower (4 oz or 2 oz) if needed to obtain a steady spray.

Using a watering can: Add approximately 3 oz of product to a gallon of water. Mix well and apply on the soil around plants. A gallon of mixture covers approximately 100 - 150 sq. ft.

Using a commercial sprayer: First shake the product vigorously to ensure it is mixed. You may add contents of the bottle to a pail and add extra water and mix by using a paddle or stick. Suggested dilution rate is 1:50. For example, mix 77.6 oz (half gallon) with 25 gallons of water. Use sufficient volume of water required in the spray equipment to cover 5,000 sq. ft. Each sprayer may be calibrated differently so the water volume required may vary accordingly.

To raise soil pH by one point:  For highly acidic soils (pH below 5.5): Spray 77.6 oz of product over 2,000 sq. ft., apply every month until normal pH is obtained. For moderately acidic soils (pH approximately 5.5 to 6.0) spray 77.6 oz content over 5,000 sq. ft. in the spring and fall.

Difficulties encountered when spraying Get-A-Lawn: There may be several reasons for the product not spraying out. The hose-end sprayer may be defective, the product was not shaken vigorously enough, the dip tube may be clogged, or you may have purchased expired product that has separated and does not re-suspend back into solution.
